Kriffix 2009

Mon Jan 12, 2009, 7:33 AM
This is it!

Hey everyone, Kriffix here!

This year i have to work very hard to get commisions and on my own projects in order to build up my portfolio for the future. As a result please expect me to be working like a robot on various pics and comics!
Please keep an eye out, i've gotten this far due to the support of my friends and i'll need that more than ever this year!

MANGAIJIN-
I start work on Mangaijin in the next few days, expect regular updates on this possibly long running comic about a foreigner trying to make it as a Manga-ka in Japan. I intend to post on drunk duck, and perhaps the first few pages here when they're done! (I will be working at a pretty fast pace so please read and support ;o;)

also i just posted a new pic in my gallery, if you have time please check it out, I have a whole ton of sketche in my sketchbook that i intend to post up regularily as I ink and colour them.

Again guys, thanks for the support!

Japan ahoy! ^__^

Thu Jul 3, 2008, 3:47 AM
Hey everyone, long time no jouranlize.

Thanks to a series of coincidences, a bit of luck and a pocket full of dreams i have somehow accertained a 5 month scholarship to Japan!
needless to say....

----I'M SO GOD DARN EXCITED----

*ahem* however i need to remained calm and cool since i'm working on a big project and would like to get it done before preparing or running around in circles (which btw is a staple action to some kind of achievement for me. When i made it to the finals of RSoM 2006 and 2007, won the expo art contest in 2005, and got my very first commision, all of these were followed with running around in circles shouting god knows what xD)
In this time, since I won't have much access to a computer (the scheme makes sure of this) I'd like to work on a one off Manga comic to have pretty much ready for when i come back to the UK.
As many of you know it's a dream of mine to join Sweatdrop, and so if i'm happy with what i produce, i may finally make the leap of faith and apply >__<
But since it's a fresh one off piece that i have no idea about yet, does any one have any ideas for genre? what kind of characters would you like to see? etc.
If you have any requests/reccomendations please post it here in this journal, it'll be interesting market research for me! ^__^
(then again i don't wanna put you guys on the spot so no worries if not ahhaha)

Thanks for reading, every one of you on my friendlist inspires me in some way or another, thanks for always being my fuel! ;__;

Mon Nov 19, 2007, 4:55 PM
Hey Guys :)

I'm a finalist in the "Rising stars of manga UK 3"
My entry is called "Innocent until proven" Please take a look and give me any feedback you can throw at me please hahah ^__^

[link]

If you can't see my entry at first please refresh the page, it seems to only display a few at a time in a random order. ^__^

My entry is far from the best, there're some real nifty ones here. I don't expect any of you to vote for me just because we're buds, ok? we're artists! we must pick that which our arty hearts draw us to most (and storywise too!).

Vote for the one you like best, if you're strapped for time and can only read a couple I reccomend taking a gander at "T time" and "Until death do us party". both trés awesome ^^

Anyways, so yeah, please leave any feedback here! Looking back on it i feel i could have done better, If i don't make it this year i'll go UBER-ALL-OUT next year, and aim for the stars! Kamina style! B)
